It has been so good to see some of you again in our face-to-face garden yoga classes, and to also welcome you back to our online live streamed classes. We have been blessed with the weather this week and all of our garden classes have been in the garden! We didn’t anticipate how dark the evening classes would be, but we have hung some fairy lights and some of you have commented on how relaxed and “romantic” it feels to practice outside and under the stars. Next week also looks warm and inviting and we can’t wait to see you again. You may even need sunglasses and sun block for the Wednesday garden yoga class! Sadly all of our garden yoga classes are now full but you can join us live and online for the other classes running. Please contact us for more information about how to get involved.
Our focus this week was on Symmetry. By balancing the tissues and muscles, we can prevent injuries often caused by imbalance and misalignment in the body. Symmetrical yoga postures also allow you to feel balanced and grounded as you focus on your physical body and connect deeply with how you feel. So think about mimicking what the right side of your body does with the left. Equal and mirrored. Think also about an equal amount of air through both nostrils and an equal amount of breath in each lung.
