Day 7 Gentle Flow Yoga

cow pose, body, soul, yoga, waltonWe are on day 7 of our March Tone Up & Stress Down Yoga Challenge.  Today’s yoga flow is a gentle, calming sequence to stretch and open the whole body and ensure the spine is healthy, young and flexible.

This is Cow Pose, an easy, gentle way to stretch the spine and the front body.  It is also a lovely way to start to synchronise the body and the breath, when combined with cat pose.

Benefits of Cow pose:

  • Stretches the front torso and neck
  • opens the chest
  • Provides a gentle massage to the spine
  • Massages into the abdominal organs

We hope you enjoy today’s sequence.  Have a play with where you position your hands on the floor, the wider they are the more open your chest, heart, collar bones and throat can feel.
