Starting Next Week…
After a brief postponement, our Gentle Yoga Class returns next week on Tuesday 27.9.22 at 11am for 60 minutes. Join us in our gentle stretch, breathe and relaxation yoga class, which is held on Tuesdays from 11am to 12pm. This yoga class is ideal for those who prefer a slower paced class. There will be plenty of focus on the breath, stretching the body, strengthening the core, abdominals and back; and an extended yoga nidra relaxation to finish. There are a maximum of 9 spaces, and your teacher, and the same people will be in this yoga class, for the whole term.
For more information and to book a place please contact us. It’s £50 for 4 weeks.
This class takes place at Body Soul Yoga, Walton on Thames, Surrey. The yoga class is small in number to ensure your comfort and safety and so that we can adjust you, ensure you are aligned and take you deeper into postures.
Faye encourages students to listen to their bodies and to be kind to their bodies, whilst recognising that, with the use of the breath, the body can go deeper into postures, and the student can really let go of remaining tensions and tiredness in the body.
Rocket Yoga, is our theme this week…
Rocket Yoga, also known as ‘The Rocket’, is a style of yoga developed by Larry Schultz in San Francisco during the 1980s. Rocket Yoga is based in the practice of Ashtanga Vinyasa. It is composed of flowing poses from the Ashtanga series. We start with Sun Salutations, Surya Namaskara A & B, then flow to standing postures, balances, twists, seated postures, a closing sequence and a yoga relaxation. It’s a beautiful flowing and warming yoga practice. You can push yourself hard, or listen to your body and skip the vinyasas and rest in child pose whenever you need to! I hope you will enjoy the sequence.
Have a great week.
