Day 24 Warrior Flow Yoga

It’s time for a Warrior Flow.  This is Sun Warrior Pose, also known as Peaceful Warrior or Reverse Warrior.  It improves the flexibility in the spine.  It strengthens the inner thighs, legs, ankles and opens the chest and front body.  It also gets the circulation going and increases blood flow and heat through the body, which helps to wake us up, whilst calming the mind.

This pose is part of today’s yoga sequence which is jam-packed with Warrior poses and flowing movements within those. We start standing and then open the hips with some hip circles and lunges. Keep the vinyasas soft if you need to protect your wrists. We take flowing warrior I, warrior II, humble warrior, sun warrior, side angle pose, triangles, wide legged forward fold, horse squats, and then some tough bridge single leg raise pulses – a great workout for your hips, legs, core, glutes and quads; to boost stamina and your immune system and metabolism.
