Day 14 Yoga For A Good Night’s Sleep

Day 14’s April New You Yoga Journey includes:  Yoga For A Better Sleep.  This sequence will hopefully help you to have a good night’s sleep tonight!

It includes pranayama yogic breathing, (left nostril breathing) designed to calm you, and some gentle hatha yoga postures. Left nostril breathing has been shown to reduce heart rate and blood pressure. These physiological responses are the result of stimulating the parasympathetic, or the calming side of our bodies. (Breathing through just the right nostril has the opposite effect, and can awaken and stimulate us.).

Make sure you are warm and comfy and grab blankets for the relaxation at the end!
